Job summary

Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, WY is seeking a Winter Seasonal Housekeeping Associate to ensure guest rooms and lodges meet resort standards and are ready for arrivals. You will act as a Targhee ambassador, engaging guests while delivering timely cleaning and upkeep.

Responsibilities include inspecting rooms, safely using equipment, stocking supplies, and coordinating with the housekeeping team and front desk. A high school diploma or GED and 3–6 months of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Must be knowledgeable of housekeeper and houseperson duties.
• Must be self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and assigned work to ensure cleanliness and quality meet Grand Targhee Resort standards.
• Use housekeeping equipment safely and report any damage, malfunctioning, or improper use to management.
• Perform housekeeping and houseperson duties as needed to support operational needs and maintain service standards.
• Communicate room status updates promptly to the Executive Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure clean rooms are released quickly for arriving guests.
• Report room discrepancies, including late checkouts, stayovers, maintenance concerns, out-of-order rooms, or other issues that may impact room availability.
• Ensure housekeepers and housepersons are adequately stocked with linens, cleaning supplies, amenities, and equipment necessary to perform their duties efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, Maintenance, Front Desk, and fellow housekeeping team members to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Assist with training and mentoring new housekeeping team members on Grand Targhee Resort cleaning standards, safety procedures, service expectations, and departmental policies.
• Assist with inventory organization, stocking supply closets throughout each shift.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate completed inspections, deficiencies, and follow-up actions to management.
• Assist with special projects, deep-cleaning initiatives, and other departmental duties as assigned.
• Participate in cross-training and job sharing as needed to support departmental and resort operational requirements.
