Job summary

HOLIDAY INN HOUMA is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain clean and attractive guestrooms and deliver attentive, courteous service to all guests. This full-time position requires flexible hours and the ability to stand for long shifts, with physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Experience in hotels is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is encouraged. You will follow hotel standards, maintain cleanliness of corridors and public areas, and assist with housekeeping

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Expotel Hospitality Service standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with Expotel Hospitality Service standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
• Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart setup.
• Remove all trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
• Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
• Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day’s use.
• Replenish chemical bottles.
• Clean room with the door closed according to standards.
• Report missing items from room to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Report maintenance repairs to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Handle items for Lost and Found according to the standards.
• Attend meetings/training as required by management.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
