Job summary

City of Grapevine seeks a Shuttle Driver to operate vehicles in the Grapevine Visitor Transportation Shuttle System. You will transport visitors along designated routes between hotels, venues, restaurants and attractions within the city.

Responsibilities include handling fares, logging ridership, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring safety and courteous customer service. A valid Texas Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid Texas Class B CDL with passenger endorsement; no DWI convictions; no more than one moving violation in the last three years.
• Attend Defensive Driving classes as scheduled by supervisor.
• Pass Federal/National background check, polygraph, and credit check; valid Texas driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Pass pre-employment DOT physical, DOT 5 panel drug screen and Level 1 functional assessment.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate one of the vehicles on designated routes to transport visitors between Grapevine hotels, venues, restaurants, and attractions.
• Transport guests on unscheduled charter runs as contracted.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Fuel the vehicle and keep interior clean and safe.
• Report accidents per City policy.
• Promote courteous public relations and customer service.
• Collect fares, maintain collections paperwork and ridership logs.
• Make deposits of collected fares as prescribed.
• Maintain incident and guest feedback logs for daily supervisor review.
• Perform related duties as assigned within the transportation program.
• Maintain regular and timely attendance.
• Interact professionally with the public, coworkers, and others.
