Job summary

Oak View Group's Pan American Center in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Guest Services Supervisor to support event operations after hours, ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth event flow.

You will coordinate attendants, handle patron concerns, and assist with setup, seating, and accommodations, working closely with the Event Operations Manager.

The role is part-time with benefits for eligible staff; the hourly rate is $17.50, with usual evenings, weekends, and holiday hours required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrate exceptional skills in customer relations, communications and problem-solving
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form
• Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
• Must be able to move around the facility and stand for extended periods during events
• Comfortable working inside or outside of the building, as needed by events
• Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects and stoop as needed

Responsibilities

• Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment

Position Summary

Under supervision by the Event Operations Manager, the Guest Services Supervisor will perform various duties in connection with scheduled events. Duties will vary between facility and events. This is a position that is usually scheduled to work after normal business hours.

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.50

About The Venue

Pan American Center is a multi-purpose arena in Las Cruces, New Mexico, located on the campus of New Mexico State University. The arena has a current seating capacity of 12,515 people. The arena serves as the home of the New Mexico State Aggies Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Woman’s Volleyball Teams.
