Job summary

The Meadowglade in Moorpark, CA seeks a Guest Services Specialist to deliver high-level customer service to residents in a residential care setting. You will support daily living activities, assist with transportation, and work under the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor to ensure comfort and safety.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality or a related position.
  • A genuine interest in working with the populations we serve.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid California driver’s license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR).
  • Comfort driving an 11-passenger van for outings, clinic pick-up/drop-off, doctor’s appointments, etc.
  • Dependability; the ability to attend each shift and do quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal, written and active listening communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects (25 lbs.), climb stairs and stand or sit for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service to adults (clients) living on the property under the supervision requirements.
  • Interact professionally and helpfully with clients, while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Observe and report client interactions as required; do not directly correct clients.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks (dishes, laundry, etc.), and drive the van for shopping trips, transport and emergencies.

You have strong customer service skills and an interest in supporting people suffering from mental health, eating disorders and addiction in a residential care facility. The Meadowglade runs 24 hours 365 days a year. In this position you will work Saturday and Sunday from 10:30pm to 7am. This is an hourly position starting at $21-$23 per hour.

The Job

Reporting to the Guest Service Specialist Supervisor, you will provide a high level of customer service to adults (clients) living on the property, ensuring they have what they need while following the lead of your supervisor and the requirements of the role. You will act professionally and appropriately in all of your client interactions, being friendly and helpful, but not a friend. You'll never directly correct clients, but will observe and report as required. You will perform a variety of tasks including a good deal of housekeeping (e.g., doing dishes after meals, taking laundry up and down the stairs, driving the van for shopping trips, transport, emergencies, etc., and facilitating activities).

The Meadowglade is a rehabilitation center specializing in mental health and eating disorders and fosters an environment of restorative healing.
