Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in La Quinta, CA is seeking a Server Assistant to support dining room staff and deliver prompt, courteous service to guests. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will help greet guests, reset tables, clear dishes, and assist servers as needed.

The role requires a positive attitude, teamwork, and the ability to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced resort setting. Prior server-related experience and a Food Handlers Card are preferred, with full-time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to three months’ related server experience preferred.
• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcohol, if applicable.
• Current Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Positive and effective communication with team and supervisors.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates initiative and good judgment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide exceptional hospitality with knowledge of the resort and dining area.
• Greet guests in an energetic and friendly fashion.
• Maintain effective communication with servers and support staff.
• Clear tables, bus and reset with efficiency and care.
• Assist servers with trays and service as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Identify safety or cleanliness issues and report to a supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
