Job summary

Hotel Equities is seeking a friendly Guest Services Representative in El Paso, Texas. In this role you will welcome guests, handle arrivals and departures, process reservations and payments, and respond to guest requests to ensure a smooth stay.

You will collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to promote hotel services and maintain a welcoming lobby. The position requires excellent communication and flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel/front desk or related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with friendly, professional service.
• Process arrivals, departures, reservations, payments, and requests accurately.
• Respond promptly to questions and escalate issues when needed.
• Maintain accurate guest records and shift documentation.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments.
• Promote hotel services and guest opportunities.
• Follow cash-handling and privacy procedures.
• Monitor lobby and front desk area to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Complete assigned shift responsibilities and communicate during handoffs.

As Guest Services Representative, you'll play an important role in supporting hotel operations, delivering exceptional service, and helping our team achieve its operational and business goals.

Job Purpose

The Front Office position is responsible for delivering welcoming, efficient, and professional service throughout the guest arrival, stay, and departure experience. This position assists guests with requests, reservations, payments, information, and service recovery while supporting smooth daily hotel operations.

What You'll Do

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service throughout their stay.
• Process arrivals, departures, reservations, payments, and guest requests accurately.
• Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and special requests.
• Resolve routine guest issues and escalates concerns to management when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate guest information, records, and shift documentation.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and other hotel departments.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and relevant guest opportunities.
• Follow cash-handling, security, privacy, and hotel operating procedures.
• Monitor the lobby and front desk area to maintain a welcoming and organized environment.
• Complete assigned shift responsibilities and maintain effective communication during handoffs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous hotel, front desk, customer service, or related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to remain professional and composed while resolving guest concerns.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods and move throughout the front office area.
• Sit, bend, reach, and lift as needed to complete job duties.

• Use computers, phones, tablets, and standard office equipment for extended periods.
