Job summary

BEST Crowd Management is seeking a friendly Guest Services staff member for the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In this part-time role you will warmly welcome attendees, provide information, and help create a positive event experience.

You should be at least 18, with a high school diploma, and strong communication. The position offers $15 per hour with flexible weekday/evening hours and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college encouraged.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or event roles is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and engage for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist event attendees with courtesy.
• Assist with event set-up and signage placement.
• Monitor venues for cleanliness and policy compliance.
• Answer questions about the event, facilities, and amenities.
• Direct guests to seating, restrooms, concessions, and exits.
• Address inquiries or issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with staff and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with crowd management when needed.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain professionalism.
