Hyatt Place Virginia Beach/Oceanfront seeks a guest service rep to maximize revenue and deliver exceptional guest service during check-in/check-out and throughout the guest experience. You will handle reservations, payments, and problem resolution while coordinating with other departments to meet guest preferences.

The role emphasizes welcoming hospitality, accurate account handling, and proactive guest communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Physically able to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and ensure a smooth check-in process.
• Provide information about hotel amenities, services and local attractions.
• Respond to guest inquiries by phone, email, or in person.
• Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately and efficiently.
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest transaction records.
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and preferences.
• Keep front desk area clean and organized.
• Assist with luggage handling and transportation arrangements as needed.
• Uphold company policies and ensure guest safety and security.
• Collaborate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for occupancy.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience.
• Stay updated on hospitality industry developments and participate in training.
