Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
• Strong English communication, verbal and written.
• Ability to build rapport with customers, team and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to hotel guests.
• Verifies customers' credit and payment method for accommodation.
• Keeps records of room availability and guest accounts.
• Calculates bills, collects payments, and makes change.
• Performs basic bookkeeping and balances cash.
• Reviews accounts with guests during checkout.
• Posts charges to ledgers using hotel systems.
• Contacts housekeeping or maintenance as needed.
• Follows guest services checklists and guidelines.
• Assists guests with luggage and directions around the hotel.
• Explains hotel facilities and hours of operation to guests.
• Ensures cleanliness and organization of work areas.
