Job summary

City of Abilene is seeking an entry-level Recreation Center Associate to provide exceptional customer service at the front desk, handle check-ins, registrations and general inquiries. The role supports program participants and event logistics, including e-gaming activities, in outdoor and indoor settings.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or in-progress education, basic safety awareness, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or in progress.
• Basic customer service principles and practices.
• Familiarity with e-gaming platforms, consoles, PCs and related equipment.
• Knowledge of recreation center rules, policies and procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, tear-down and cleanup for programs and rentals.
• Greet and direct rental contacts and assist participants as needed.
• Provide customer service support for e-gaming activities, including equipment setup and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain equipment and spaces and ensure policies are followed.
