Corinthia Hotels has announced a management agreement with the Reuben Brothers to operate the former The Surrey Hotel, located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The property will undergo extensive renovation and is slated to open in 2024.

The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel, is seeking to recruit a Front Office Guest Service Attendant. The role involves ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, maintaining and exceeding hotel standards, and reporting guest comments, VIP arrivals, or issues to the Front Office Manager. The attendant will also ensure the division's standards meet and exceed quality expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting hotel operations during demand periods.
  • Maintaining effective communication within the department and informing the Front Office Managers of any issues.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure good communication and support.
  • Checking in and out guests according to hotel procedures.
  • Ensuring guest bills are charged correctly and posted properly.
  • Following up on reservation correspondence as instructed.
  • Coordinating with the Director of Guest Experience for VIP allocations, amenities, and guest meetings.
  • Capturing guest data with high quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a 5-star hotel.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Knowledge of property management systems (e.g., Micros, Fidelio, Opera, Toast).
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Tourism (preferred).
