Job summary

Atlantic Health seeks Per Diem Guest Services Associates to cover Hackettstown Medical Center and Newton Medical Center. Shifts are varied 6:00AM–11:00PM, including every other weekend. Starting rate: $20.83/hr.

You’ll greet visitors, collect IDs, screen per protocol, and route calls and mail with a focus on patient comfort. You will support staff with overflow tasks, handle inquiries, and adapt to multiple duties while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Courteously greets everyone entering the facility, acting as the first point of contact and creating a positive first impression.
• Collects required identification and follows screening protocols.
• Documents according to CDC Guidelines.
• Provides direction, guidance, and information pertaining to the facility.
• Handles and routes all incoming phone calls and mails.
• Supports other administrative staff with overflow work, including word processing, data entry and internet research.
• Manages multiple inquiries calmly and professionally.
• Multitasks and remains flexible to facilitate inquiries for patients, visitors, and family members.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Candidate must possess strong communication, interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and remain attentive to visitor needs. (Frequent walking, standing).
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs including but not limited to pushing wheelchairs.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities a must.

Relevant Experience:

• 0-3 years of Customer Service experience preferred.
• Retail experienced preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
