Summary
The Guest Services Representative is responsible for completing daily Front Desk functions, ensuring that all Owners and Guests receive efficient and courteous service, making them feel welcome during their entire stay through a proactive and positive attitude. The Guest Service Representative also completes special projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Performs daily Front Desk functions such as guest check-in and check-out, answering phones, completion of shift check-list, processing related transactions, etc.
  2. Directs owner and guest requests to the correct department. Responds courteously, efficiently, and professionally to guest service requests.
  3. Performs light administrative duties such as sending and receiving faxes, making copies, and sending e-mail correspondence.
  4. Greets, registers, establishes necessary credit for, and issues keys appropriately to guests.
  5. Answers telephones/PBX with proper telephone etiquette and directs calls accordingly.
  6. Receives guest requests and/or complaints and ensures that appropriate actions have been taken.
  7. Answers inquiries pertaining to the resort's amenities, services, policies, area attractions, dining, and directions.
  8. Communicates with other departments as needed via telephone and two-way radio.
  9. Completes check-out procedures, computes bills, collects payment, and makes change for guests as required.
  10. Makes, confirms, and cancels reservations for guests or answers a variety of questions for guests pertaining to their reservations.
  11. Balances all cash receipts and work performed during the shift and performs a bucket check on shift.
  12. Distributes guest and staff mail and messages as necessary.
  13. Posts charges for faxes, copies, or laundry or charges from the food, beverage, or convenience store outlets.
