Job summary

Brookgreen Gardens is seeking a Guest Services Associate to warmly welcome guests, sell admission, and guide visitors through our sculpture gardens and exhibits. You will balance transactions, answer questions, and support special events and café operations.

Flexibility is valued as shifts can include weekends, holidays, and evenings. A friendly demeanor helps us deliver the Brookgreen experience and our mission-driven hospitality to every guest.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional, engaging customer service attitude.

• Willingness to undergo ServSafe online training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and exceptional service.
• Sell admission tickets and operate point-of-sale systems accurately.
• Help guests discover garden features, exhibits, programs, and events.
• Process cash and electronic transactions and balance drawers.
• Answer questions and assist guests in planning their visit.
• Support special events and café operations, including ServSafe training.
• Contribute to Brookgreen Culture through teamwork and a welcoming approach.

What You’ll Do

• Support special events and café operations as needed - requires attending ServSafe online training and certification

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, professional, and engaging communication skills
• A genuine interest in helping people and creating positive experiences
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Comfort using computers and point-of-sale systems
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background check, is required upon hire. Valid SC Drivers License required.
