Description

Torreon Golf Club is seeking a Guest Services Manager! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

General Purpose:

Responsible for outside services, pace of play, guest relations, and cart area operations.

Works with the Tournament Coordinator to organize all groups/outings taking place on a specific day and prepares staff and the facility for these events.

Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs, services customers renting golf clubs, and cleans rental clubs upon return.

Ensures the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot. Inventories and controls all guest supplies.

Assists in monitoring and policing all player service activity and etiquette. Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, and pace of play.

May assist with food and beverage activities.

Responsible for hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Manages department members that may include, but are not limited to: Guest Services Supervisor, Guest Services Attendants, and Player Assistants.

Assures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Develops ongoing training programs.

Monitors business volume forecasts and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties as required.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, and talks or hears.
  • Occasionally sits; climbs; balances; stoops; kneels; crawls; or crouches.
  • Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather).

Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts and may come into contact with fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.

Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.

Certificates/Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License.

Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers, and equipment manuals are in English).
