Overview

The Stateview Hotel, Marriott Autograph Collection, is seeking Guest Service Agents for this exceptional property.

The Guest Service Agent Will
  1. Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to understand requests, respond appropriately, and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions.
  2. Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information with routine difficulty from a computer system, confirming details like number of guests and room rate. Promote hotel marketing programs. Assign rooms based on guest needs. Code electronic keys. Confirm room number and rate non-verbally. Provide welcome folders with keys, certificates, coupons, and refreshments as appropriate. This role requires standing and moving throughout the front office area.
  3. Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic methods. Handle cash, make change, and balance the house bank. Accept and record vouchers, travelers checks, and other payments. Convert foreign currency at current rates. Perform accurate arithmetic functions using a calculator. Post charges to guest rooms and accounts via computer.
  4. Answer the phone promptly with positive and clear English. Input messages into the system, retrieve and communicate them to guests. Handle mail, small packages, and facsimiles as requested.
  5. Stay calm and alert during emergencies or busy periods, resolving issues such as location changes or credit problems.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: No prior experience required; hospitality experience preferred.

Licenses or Certificates: No special licenses required; must meet minimum bonding standards.

Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.

Compensation Range

The hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $16.00, based on qualifications and experience.
