A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests and checking guests out of the hotel, delivering outstanding guest service and ensuring financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests, completing registration, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Assisting guests with check-out, ensuring accurate billing, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, and managing foreign currency exchanges.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hotel services, room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area information to answer guest inquiries.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest requests and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying messages, and managing guest communications.
