Job summary

Lodging America at Brookhaven is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to clean guest rooms and public areas, ensuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenue. You will work with a team to maintain a clean, inviting hotel environment.

No prior formal experience is required; a high school diploma is preferred. The role involves physical tasks and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• No formal experience required for the position.
• Ability to communicate information hotel services to guests, vendors, staff members and management.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cart with supplies, maintaining carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency.
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways to maintain a clean, presentable facility at all times.
• Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stalls, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls to ensure sanitary guest and public restrooms.
• Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature and stationery.
• Washes all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
• Dusts and polishes all furniture and fixtures, including vents and ceiling corners.
• Strips bed of all linen and remakes with fresh linens for cleanliness.
• Lifts mattresses to check for soil or objects under beds.
• Inspects doors and window locks and reports any unsecured or unsafe situations.
• Inspects room equipment and reports maintenance deficiencies in writing.
