Job summary

MGM Resorts International is seeking a Guest Room Attendant at our National Harbor property to help keep our guestrooms spotless and welcoming for guests. You will perform cleaning tasks, restock amenities, and report any maintenance issues promptly.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. English communication skills are essential; prior housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months of related experience in housekeeping.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral form.
• Culinary Training Center training is preferred.

• Replenish all guest amenities and information folders as needed.
• Clean bathrooms by scrubbing basins, bathtubs, shower walls and doors, toilets, and tile floors with damp rags and proper chemicals when applicable.
• Replenish all amenities such as ashtrays, soaps and tissues.
• Place clean bathmats on tubs and/or shower doors and clean towels on towel racks.
• Report unusual room conditions or rooms in need of repair.

THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Guest Room Attendant to clean and service the guestrooms.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Clean guestrooms including duties such as making bed(s), vacuuming, emptying trash, wiping down or dusting all surfaces.
• Replenish all guest amenities and information folders as needed.
• Clean bathrooms by scrubbing basins, bathtubs, shower walls and doors, toilets, and tile floors with damp rags and proper chemicals when applicable.
• Replenish all amenities such as ashtrays, soaps and tissues.
• Place clean bathmats on tubs and/or shower doors and clean towels on towel racks.
• Report unusual room conditions or rooms in need of repair.
• Complete all duties in accordance with the room classification checklist.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
• Three (3) months of related experience in housekeeping, or exposure to the hospitality industry and training from the Culinary Training Center (preferred).
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral form.

Pay Rate: The rate for this role is: $22.84 This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage. Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
