Job summary

The St. Anthony Hotel is seeking an organized Guest Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team in downtown San Antonio, Texas. You will help ensure each guest's stay is clean, safe, and comfortable at this AAA Four Diamond luxury property.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to pitch in and be a team player.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces and reach overhead for cleaning.
• Self-starting with a professional appearance.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathroom surfaces including tub, toilet, sink, walls, and floors.
• Follow cleaning procedures and chemical usage guidelines.
• Strip and make beds; change linens; may lift bedspreads up to 50 lbs.
• Dust furniture, pictures, drawers, ledges, and shelves.
• Operate vacuum and empty trash.
• Restock amenities, linens, and supplies in the guest room.
• Handle room keys, deliver to rooms, restock heavy cart, and inspect cleanliness.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

• Clean and sanitize bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms overhead, bending, and stooping.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
• Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
• Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in the guest room.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy cart. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities
