Job summary

Ocean Sky Hotel & Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Housekeeping Team Member to keep guest rooms, common areas, and facilities clean and well-maintained. You will report to the Head Housekeeper and perform cleaning to the hotel’s standards, changing bedding and towels as needed, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across all spaces.

Ideal candidates have attention to detail, the ability to work in a team or alone, and the physical stamina to handle cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and products.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team or independently.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
• Good physical condition to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning of hotel rooms, common areas, hallways, and other designated areas to established standards.
• Change bedding and towels in hotel rooms and suites.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, toilets, sinks, and showers.
• Ensure cleaning products are used safely and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Clean windows and mirrors in hotel rooms and common areas.
• Empty trash cans and ensure waste is disposed of appropriately.
• Report necessary repairs and replacements to the Head Housekeeper.
• Adhere to hotel safety policies and emergency procedures.
• Adhere to deadlines for cleaning work.
