Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. You will clean guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, while supporting our brand values and service protocols.

Responsibilities include responding to guest requests, maintaining supply levels, and assisting with laundry duties as needed. The role requires physical stamina and reliability, with morning/evening shifts and weekend/holiday

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Will be required to work mornings, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the Sonesta service standards in all guest interactions.
• Respond to guest complaints and requests; ensure corrective action.
• Clean and service rooms or areas per established standards using beds, dusting, vacuuming.
• May clean kitchen area, room refrigerator, microwave, etc.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied.
• Report rooms unable to be serviced to supervisor.
• Monitor laundry supplies and equipment when assigned to laundry.
• Operate washers and dryers per hotel standards and guidelines.
• Receive soiled linens and inspect for damages.
• Fold and store clean linens and report damages.
• Minimize waste of supplies and amenities in all areas.
• Assist with periodic deep cleaning projects.
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Handle all lost and found items per procedures.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication across shifts.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
