Job summary

Hampton Inn East - Cottondale is seeking a Room Attendant to create a clean, comfortable guest experience by refreshing rooms, restocking supplies, and keeping areas neat. You’ll interact warmly with guests and work as part of a supportive housekeeping team.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, with a starting wage of $13.50/hour and a progression path to $15.04/hour after certifications.

Qualifications

• A positive, friendly attitude and a genuine desire to help create a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to notice small things that help make rooms feel polished and guest-ready.
• Reliable and dependable, with consistent attendance and reliable transportation.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work well with supervisors and team members.
• Physically able to perform housekeeping tasks, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and pushing housekeeping carts.

Responsibilities

• Create a Clean, Comfortable Guest Experience: Clean and refresh guest rooms to brand and WHM standards, including bathrooms, beds, floors, and amenities.
• Restock linens, towels, and supplies so rooms are fully prepared for the next guest.
• Ensure each room looks neat, welcoming, and ready for a great guest experience.
• Support a Smooth, Positive Housekeeping Operation: Maintain cleanliness in hallways and housekeeping work areas.
• Communicate any room issues or maintenance needs so they can be resolved quickly.
• Follow safety guidelines and cleaning procedures to protect guests and team members.
• Provide Friendly Guest Interaction: Greet guests kindly if you encounter them while working.
• Assist with simple requests (like extra towels) in a warm, helpful manner.
• Stay Organized & Efficient: Manage your room list throughout the day and move smoothly from one task to the next.
• Keep your cart stocked, tidy, and ready to go.
