Job summary

Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach is seeking a part-time Server Assistant to support dining room service. You will meticulously set and reset tables, maintain a clean, safe dining environment, and ensure smooth flow of dishes during dinner service.

You will assist servers with food and water, help with side-work, and uphold safety policies, PPE usage, and health regulations. Prior food service experience is preferred, along with basic knowledge of food/bev prep and guest relations.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience desired.
• Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette

Responsibilities

• Meticulously cleans and sets dining room tables and booths as directed.
• Continuously maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe, and comfortable environment for our guests.
• Maintains a constant flow of soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the dining room.
• Clears dishware and flatware as necessary throughout the dinner service.
• Completes pre, running, and post shift side-work requirements (i.e. rollups, condiments, etc.) as directed.
• Provides expeditious service to each guest without sacrificing quality.
• Ensures water glasses are full throughout the meal.
• Follows all standard food handling, sanitation, RBS and health department guidelines.
• Must wear non-slip, oil-resistant shoes.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Reports potential safety issues to manager whenever observed and takes immediate action to resolve in emergency situations.
• OSHA laws require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety.
