Job summary

José Andrés Group in New York is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will work in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment, collaborating with teammates to ensure accurate food and beverage service.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of full-service restaurant experience, open availability (weekends/holidays), strong menu knowledge, ability to describe ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods, and the stamina to stand 8–10 hours.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of full-service, high-volume restaurant experience.
• Open availability at least 3 days per week, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to articulate appealing descriptions of menu items, ingredients and preparation methods.
• Strong communication skills to build relationships with colleagues and guests.
• Stand 8–10 hours; lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to walk stairs and maintain composure under pressure.
• Knowledge of wine, beer and cocktails.
• Experience with restaurant POS systems.
• Hospitality mindset and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, guest-centric environment.
• Partner with team members to serve food and beverages that exceed guests' expectations.
• Carry beverages on a tray.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders, clear tables, reset tables, and polish glassware/silverware/flatware.
• Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service.
• Deliver wine service as directed by management.
• Guide guests through the menu and allergens.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitization of tables and work space.
