Job summary

Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar in Norfolk, NE is seeking servers for a high-volume, full-service restaurant and sports bar. You’ll be the face of the operation, greeting guests and delivering a top-notch dining experience with beverages and meals, while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include taking orders through Toast, processing payments, selling items, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Ability to work flexible days, evenings, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Multi-task oriented.
• Ability to pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better.
• State alcohol server license and food handler's card required at some locations.
• Basic mathematical skills; ability to count change.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Knowlege of workplace safety procedures.
• Must be able to make suggestions regarding food and beverage items.
• Minimum age requirement of 19 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's food and beverage menus and preparation.
• Collaborate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff.
• Sell alcohol and food items.
• Enter and complete customer orders through the Toast POS system; accept different payment types and make change.
• Prepare tables with sanitation and order in mind.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner; ensure complete satisfaction.
• Clear and reset tables.
• Check identification of guests consuming alcoholic beverages; refuse service to underage guests.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintain grooming as required.
• Perform other duties as directed.
