Job summary

Hotel Indigo Chicago-Vernon Hills is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server to provide attentive food and beverage service in line with our brand standards and sustainability goals.

You will take orders, enter them in the POS, ensure guest satisfaction, handle tables, stock stations, and assist with bartending or bussing as needed. This role requires standing, a positive attitude, and flexibility for peak shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food and beverage experience required or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• TIPS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and enter them in the POS.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Set and clear tables in dining areas.
• Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, or straws.
• Pick up orders from food preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly.
• Prepare guest checks and complete payment transactions.
• Perform other food and beverage functions such as bartending and bussing in peak periods.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
