Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a vigilant Security Officer for Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, GA. The role acts to protect guests, associates, and property through patrols, incident response, and adherence to safety procedures.

You will monitor life-safety systems, assist with emergencies, and coordinate with supervisors to maintain a secure environment while delivering courteous guest service and teamwork with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Must have a valid Driver License and clean driving record.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Thorough knowledge of the layout of the building, function rooms, and some knowledge of the city and surrounding areas.
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 150 lbs.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in hands with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of shift on foot patrol, observing for safety risks and disturbances.
• Coordinate expeditious response to emergencies in a calm, rational manner.
• Handle policy violations ensuring guest and property safety.
• Manage door locks and assist with building welfare issues.
• Monitor security and safety systems and report alarms.
• Respond to security calls and prioritize based on urgency.
• Know building life-safety layout and equipment locations.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available for shifts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
