Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in San Antonio’s Holiday Inn Riverwalk is seeking a Public Areas Attendant to keep lobby and public spaces clean and welcoming. You will clean assigned areas, monitor supplies, assist with deep cleaning and respond to guest requests to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Basic reading, writing, and math skills are required.
Some housekeeping experience and ability to speak English preferred.
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling approximately 200 pounds.
Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
May work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

Clean and service the assigned public areas according to established quality standards and procedures.
Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
Respond to guest complaints and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
Clean and service restrooms, lobby, vending areas, and related spaces.
Strip and wax floors and polish furniture as needed.
May assist with deep cleaning projects.
May assist with other duties as assigned.
