Job summary

GATE Petroleum seeks a Food Service Associate to provide friendly, efficient customer service while assisting with food preparation and store operations. The role collaborates with the Store Kitchen Manager and Store Manager to manage tasks and merchandise flow.

You will stock, assist customers, operate the register, and help train team members. A dynamic, fast-paced environment requires attention to safety, cleanliness, and product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must complete pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English to communicate effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must follow safety rules and read/interpret safety and operating documents.
• Food Safety Certification preferred; prior related experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions about products or services.
• Process cash and credit card payments at the register.
• Prepare made-to-order food items per standard recipes and portions.
• Stock coolers and shelves; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Assist in training new and existing team members on procedures.
• Perform minor equipment maintenance and follow safety guidelines.
• Follow all food safety regulations and proper storage practices.
