Job summary

The Gate Store is seeking a Food Service Associate non-exempt to provide friendly, efficient customer service while assisting with food preparation and kitchen safety. You’ll work with store kitchen and management to handle inventory, operate the register, and train teammates in service and safety procedures.

Primary duties include stocking, maintaining cleanliness, and following food safety rules across the store.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• English language proficiency sufficient to communicate with customers and team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in convenience store/restaurant environments preferred; knowledge of Food Safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare made-to-order items following standard recipes and portions.
• Assist customers with questions about products and services.
• Operate the register and process cash/credit payments.
• Stock coolers and shelves; keep area clean and organized.
• Train team members on food prep, service, and safety procedures.
• Perform minor maintenance on store equipment and report issues.
