Job summary

Gate Petroleum Company’s GATE Store is seeking a Food Service Associate Non-Exempt. You will greet customers, assist with product questions, prepare made-to-order items, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, well-stocked store.

This role requires flexibility, weekend/holiday availability, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adherence to food safety practices. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and be able to assist customers and answer questions.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Must possess good organizational skills and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in English — reading, writing and comprehension at an adequate level.
• Willingness to obtain Food Safety Certification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions about products or services.
• Process cash and card payments at the register following store policies.
• Prepare made-to-order food items according to menu and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness, stocking, and organization of shelves and coolers.
• Assist with training new team members and supporting kitchen safety procedures.
