Job summary

Festival Foods in Mauston, WI is seeking a part-time Cashier to deliver outstanding guest service at the front end of our store. You’ll greet guests, process transactions, bag items with care, and stay informed about promotions to assist shoppers effectively.

You’ll join a friendly, guest-focused team with a schedule that can include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. This role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and reliable attendance to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills to engage with guests and provide outstanding retail sales.
• Retail experience with cash handling at registers.
• Strong communication with customers and retail team members.
• Accuracy in reading, counting, and writing for precise transactions.
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Guests: engage in friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome.
• Efficient Transactions: scan grocery items, process sales and handle monetary transactions with care.
• Bagging with Care: bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in good condition.
• Stay Informed: stay aware of promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
• Maintain Order: keep register station neat and stocked with supplies.
• Communication: relay guest requests to Guest Services leadership as needed.
• Quality Standards: ensure quality and quantity standards, especially during peak times.
• Teamwork: perform other duties as needed to support the team.
• Honor Commitments: maintain regular attendance and provide notice for absences.
