Job summary

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Cary, NC is seeking an attentive server to coordinate a dinner service and ensure a premier Guest experience. You will provide food, beverage and hospitality that meet Ruth's Chris standards, creating a safe and welcoming environment for Guests and Team Members.

The role requires excellent wine and spirits knowledge, strong guest service skills, and the ability to operate POS systems while maintaining high presentation and service quality throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of wine and spirits.
• Excellent guest service skills and a strong work ethic.
• Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
• Diplomatically handle difficult situations while maintaining professionalism, a positive attitude and a smile.
• Ability to handle stress and solve problems during service.
• Ability to take orders quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work as scheduled and in proper uniform.
• Obtain station assignments and complete opening side work duties.
• Set up and restock service stations and bar items.
• Greet guests, make recommendations, and upsell to enhance dining experience.
• Take and record orders according to service standards.
• Process orders and ensure timely preparation and correct ringing.
• Deliver and present all items per standards; serve entrées personally.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to guest needs promptly.
• Provide water service, breads, and refreshments as required.
• Pack leftovers tableside per standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and stations.
