Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group Career Center in California is hiring for an hourly, non-exempt server role. You will deliver friendly, prompt service and upsell menu items to create AUS-SOME dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to sell alcohol.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Visual ability for distance, color and depth perception; work in low lighting.
• For California positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certifications required (can be completed during training, up to 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt, attentive service guided by guest preferences.
• Demonstrate strong menu knowledge; confidently upsell and support guest orders.
• Prepare food and condiments per Outback standards.
• Ensure accurate guest orders; bus tables and deliver food and beverages.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Support all restaurant areas as needed; teamwork is essential.
