Job summary

Denny's is seeking a friendly Server to greet guests, take orders, and ensure a satisfying dining experience. You will handle orders, payments, and to-go requests while maintaining Denny’s brand standards and a clean, welcoming dining area.

The role requires flexible scheduling, strong guest service skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. The position involves standing for long periods and lifting light loads throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Minimum age requirement of 21 in restaurants that free pour alcoholic beverages.
• Meets Denny’s uniform and grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 4–8 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders, ensuring accuracy and courtesy.
• Enter orders into the POS system and communicate with kitchen staff.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and check for guest satisfaction.
• Assist with seating and attending to guest needs throughout service.
• Handle payments and assist with to-go orders as needed.
