Job summary

JDK Management Company is seeking a friendly Host/Cashier to welcome guests, manage seating, and handle payments at our Mount Pocono restaurant. You’ll support carryout orders, coordinate with servers and kitchen staff, and help keep the host stand clean and inviting.

No prior host/cashier experience is required, and the team emphasizes energy, reliability, and a team-first mindset. This is a full-time, on-site position with flexible scheduling options to balance work and life.

Qualifications

• No experience is required or previous host/cashier experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage seating arrangements and wait lists to ensure smooth restaurant flow and guest satisfaction.
• Accurately process guest payments and handle cash, credit card, and other transactions responsibly.
• Answer phones, assist guests with questions, and support carryout or to-go orders as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, front entrance, and dining areas.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to support efficient operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
