Job summary

JDK Management Company in Scranton is seeking a Host/Cashier to welcome guests, handle transactions, and create a warm first impression. A successful candidate brings positive energy, strong communication, and a team-first mindset to every shift.

You will manage seating, answer questions, support carryout, and maintain a clean, inviting host area. No prior experience is required, but customer service and teamwork are a plus. Flexible scheduling is offered as part of our team.

Qualifications

• No experience required; host/cashier experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service.
• Manage seating arrangements and wait lists to ensure smooth restaurant flow and guest satisfaction.
• Accurately process guest payments and handle cash, credit card, and other transactions responsibly.
• Answer phones, assist guests with questions, and support carryout or to-go orders as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, front entrance, and dining areas.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to support efficient operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
