Job summary

Panera Bread is seeking a Restaurant Team Member to be the heart of hospitality, delivering warmth and service to guests across the bakery-cafe. You’ll help assemble fresh salads and sandwiches, greet guests with enthusiasm, and support teammates to keep operations smooth.

This role offers exposure to multiple cafe areas and the chance to contribute to Panera’s warm, community-focused brand. Training included; evening, weekend, and holiday availability often required.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16+ and able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Able to communicate clearly in a loud environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
• Passionate about creating comfort, connection and joy for guests
• Thrives in a fast-paced, multitasking role
• Reliable, punctual and flexible for evenings, weekends and holidays
• Food Handler’s Card required by law

Responsibilities

• Represent Panera Bread as an ambassador and greet guests warmly
• Assist in bakery-cafe areas: Production, Prep, Service, Cashier, Expo, Drive-Thru, Barista, etc.
• Prepare salads, soups, and sandwiches with care and accuracy
• Move around the cafe to assist guests at entry, cashier, and dining areas
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment per food safety standards
• Stay informed on daily priorities and support next-shift setup
