Job summary

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned food service management company specializing in K-12 school lunch programs. We are seeking a friendly Cashier to greet guests, handle the POS, assist in meal prep, stock condiments, and uphold food safety standards while contributing to a positive work environment.

The role offers guaranteed hours, daily lunch, uniforms and PPE, training and development, and opportunities for advancement within a culture of inclusion and belonging.

Qualifications

• Food Service experience preferred.
• Ability to do simple arithmetic to count money and make change.
• Understanding of basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with eye contact and a smile
• Maintains the point of sale, entering all items accurately and efficiently
• Assists in meal preparation including making salads, deli sandwiches, cleaning fresh fruits and vegetables etc.
• Stocks and prepares condiments and utensils
• Contributes to a positive work environment
• Demonstrates integrity and respects confidentiality
• Punctual and dependable
• Follows food safety requirements and guidelines
• Self-starter that can work independently
• Performs additional related duties as assigned by leadership
