Job summary

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is seeking a Steward to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and cookware, and to support the Team Member Cafeteria. You will clean kitchens and cafeteria areas, sort and prep used wares, and stock supplies in serving stations.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting moderate weights, and shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel stewarding experience is desirable.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift/move/pull moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Wash/sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots/utensils and related equipment.
• Prepare and deliver food for Team Member Cafeteria.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas and equipment.
• Sort soiled ware and prepare for cleaning through dish or pot machine.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, refrigerators or salad bars.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and follow recycling regulations.
• Follow all food handling, sanitation, and health guidelines.
