Job summary

The Obama Foundation is seeking a Visitor Services Associate to serve as the primary contact for guests and external stakeholders at the Obama Presidential Center. You will deliver an inclusive, welcoming experience across information desks, ticketing, coat check, and access control, reporting to the Manager, Visitor Services.

You may rotate between positions, support group logistics, ushering, and special events, while staying knowledgeable about campus programming and local attractions.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, hospitality or interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility of hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work on-site at the Obama Presidential Center in Jackson Park.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
• Assist visitors with accessibility needs and direct to appropriate resources.
• Coordinate with onsite security to ensure a safe guest experience and aid in crowd management.
• Collaborate with Visitor Engagement, Education, Volunteers, Events and other teams to maintain service standards.
• Rotate between roles such as ticketing, information desks, coat check, group logistics, ushering and events.
• Build knowledge of Obama Presidential Center campus, programming and nearby attractions.
• Perform other duties within Visitor Services as assigned.
