Job summary

Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre in Mount Pleasant, SC is hiring a Guest Services Agent to deliver outstanding hospitality at the front desk. You will assist with check-in/check-out, answer guest questions, and help guests plan their stays with local recommendations.

The role requires excellent communication, a professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hotel environment. Training is provided; opportunities for growth exist within Hyatt.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous hotel, retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, genuine, and professional attitude.
• Provide efficient check-in and check-out experiences.
• Respond promptly to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
• Resolve guest issues using sound judgment and excellent service recovery techniques.
• Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, dining, and area events.
• Create memorable guest experiences that encourage repeat visits and positive reviews.
• Process reservations, room assignments, billing, and payments accurately.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Balance cash drawer and complete required front desk reports.
• Maintain accurate guest records using the hotel's property management system.
• Ensure lobby and front desk areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Communicate effectively with Housekeeping, Engineering, Breakfast, and Management to meet guest needs.
• Assist with coordinating special requests and VIP arrivals.
• Support fellow team members during busy periods and work together to ensure smooth hotel operations.
• Participate in daily shift pass-on and maintain clear communication between shifts.
• Follow Hyatt brand standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality.
• Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by hotel leadership.
