Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Guest Service Associate in West Haven, CT to deliver a top-notch guest experience and support daily store operations. You will greet guests, handle POS duties, stock shelves, and assist with vendor coordination.

The role requires flexible hours, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Training is provided, and the company emphasizes safety and customer service as part of its operations.

Qualifications

• Flexible hours including day, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer functions required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outdoors, cooler, etc.).
• Ability to climb ladders & stairs, reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to access all store areas (selling floor, stock, register).
• Ability to count, read and write accurately for paperwork.
• Support onboarding and training for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Adhere to safety, security, quality and store operations policies.
• Operate the point of sale; maintain cash, lottery, tobacco levels.
• Complete store housekeeping duties (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash).
• Replenish products and maintain in-stock conditions.
• Communicate guest requests and vendor concerns to management.
• Check in external and internal vendors per guidelines.
• Conduct gas tank inventory and merchandising projects.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
• Minors may ONLY use OSHA approved knives.
