Job summary

Lodge Bread Company in Los Angeles is seeking a reliable Busser/Runner to support front-of-house operations in a fast-paced café setting. You will greet guests, help deliver food, reset tables, and ensure timely service for dine-in and to-go orders.

Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication, able to multitask, stand long hours, and assist the kitchen and servers to maintain clean, well-stocked service stations and smooth service flow.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or hospitality experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Familiarity with basic sanitation and food safety practices

Responsibilities

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with Lodge Bread Company’s mission
• Greet guests at the table and serve water, bread, and butter on arrival
• Clear used tableware and fully reset tables after guests depart
• Run food from kitchen to tables quickly and accurately
• Assist servers in monitoring guest needs and refills
• Keep dining areas clean and orderly and maintain tidy service areas
• Manage the expo station by coordinating tickets and communicating with kitchen
• Handle to-go and pickup orders, bag and label items for pickup
• Monitor ticket flow and pace of the kitchen to avoid bottlenecks
• Restock utensils, glassware, condiments, and packaging supplies
