Job summary

Golden Nugget Las Vegas is seeking a server to ensure exceptional dining experiences. You will greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and drinks promptly while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. You will explain menu items, handle payments, and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

The role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and a positive hospitality mindset, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Tips are a component of pay.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with composure.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus and dietary restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner.
• Take drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcohol.
• Communicate specials or promotions and make recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Answer questions regarding the menu, including allergies or special requests.
• Servers must know the menu and be able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the POS system.
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and delivered on time and together.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation.
• Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns.
