Job summary

The Ned NoMad in New York City is seeking a dynamic Server to join our team and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. Reporting to the Head of Bars, you will balance multitasking with attentive hospitality to ensure memorable experiences for members and guests.

You will stock, upsell menu items, explain wine pairings and accommodate dietary needs while adhering to responsible service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.
• Experience as a server or back server in a high-volume establishment is preferred.
• Strong communication and engagement to champion the culture of the venue.

Responsibilities

• Stock stations before and after service and manage inventory during high-volume shifts.
• Provide quality service to all guests and members.
• Promote menu items and suggest pairings during service.
• Demonstrate understanding of allergy procedures.
• Participate in demos, trainings, and product information sessions.
• Answer guest questions and offer recommendations based on preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Know daily specials and promote them effectively.
• Handle alcoholic beverages responsibly and suggest wine pairings or non-alcoholic options.
