Job summary

G'Raj Mahal Cafe - Austin is hiring a friendly server to welcome guests and provide attentive dining service in a busy Austin setting. You will take and relay orders, input them into POS, and ensure accuracy from the kitchen to the table.

Responsibilities include delivering meals, checking guest satisfaction, and promoting specials while complying with state liquor regulations. The ideal candidate has strong English communication, a courteous demeanor, and physical stamina for long shifts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Food Handlers registered in Travis County is required.
• TABC certification required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Service of food and/or beverage, including taking, delivering, and clearing orders.
• Check station for setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shift.
• Greet guests and explain specials and promotions.
• Take orders and input into POS to inform kitchen.
• Retrieve and deliver orders, verify accuracy.
• Gauge guest satisfaction throughout service.
• Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations.
