Job summary

The Kimpton Era is hiring a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences across four concepts—Amasa, Bar Rocco, The Parlor, and The Jade Rabbit—at Rockefeller Center.

You will take and relay orders, suggest menu recommendations, handle beverages, input orders into the POS, and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accuracy, speed, and guest satisfaction while upholding high standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Prior server experience in a restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Knowledge of basic food safety regulations.
• Customer-centric approach.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
• Lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests across all four concepts.
• Take and relay orders with accuracy and detail.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge including specials and beverages.
• Offer recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
• Input orders into the POS and ensure timely delivery to tables.
• Set and clear tables per restaurant standards.
• Monitor dining area for cleanliness and appearance.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with servers and support staff.
• Promote specials and upgrades to enhance dining experience.
• Work with kitchen, management, and team during peak times.
• Follow company policies and health and safety guidelines.
• Adhere to alcohol service regulations and age verification.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
